Join us for a week of ski touring based from Karlsa Lodge in Northern Iceland!  The Troll Peninsula of Northern Iceland is a world class destination for ski touring and backcountry skiing, with vertical descents of up to 1400m or almost 5000ft, hundreds of peaks and slopes for all abilities.  The fact that the Troll Peninsula is surrounded by the Arctic Ocean makes for incredible opportunities of skiing right down to the ocean on a stable coastal snowpack but also adds the excitement of Arctic weather and conditions. Iceland is a true adventure skiing destination.

The trip begins & finishes in the town of Akureyri, a small fishing village in Northern Iceland.  From Akureyri we transport the group with a 15 passenger van to Karlsa Lodge.  Life is simple once at Karlsa Lodge as we ski in/out from the lodge each day and explore the surrounding mountains & fjords.  In the evenings we will visit & relax in the thermal bath hot springs famous to Iceland.  This will be an incredible trip skiing in a unique and beautiful landscape and experiencing a remote northern culture.
